You are United With God NOT "Find Your Soulmate"

Eric Geiger

Hurtful proverb from the world: Find your soulmate.

“Not everyone can accept this saying, but only those to whom it has been given. For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother’s womb, there are eunuchs who were made by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves that way because of the kingdom of heaven. The one who is able to accept it should accept it.” (Matthew 19:11-12)

I wish that all people were as I am. But each has his own gift from God, one person has this gift, another has that…The unmarried man is concerned about the things of the Lord—how he may please the Lord. But the married man is concerned about the things of the world—how he may please his wife—and his interests are divided. The unmarried woman or virgin is concerned about the things of the Lord, so that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But the married woman is concerned about the things of the world—how she may please her husband. (1 Corinthians 7:7,32-34)

The fear of the LORD leads to life, and whoever has it rests satisfied; he will not be visited by harm. (Proverbs 19:23)

Reflection Question: Where have you looked for satisfaction apart from Jesus? How is He leading you to rest fully in Him?
