Series: What Did Jesus Say...

To His Mother

Eric Geiger

“Can a woman forget her nursing child, or lack compassion for the child of her womb? Even if these forget, yet I will not forget you.” (Isaiah 49:15)

As a mother comforts her son, so I will comfort you… (Isaiah 66:13)

While he was still speaking with the crowds, his mother and brothers were standing outside wanting to speak to him. Someone told him, “Look, your mother and your brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.” He replied to the one who was speaking to him, “Who is my mother and who are my brothers?” Stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”
(Matthew 12:46-50)

His family is eternal.

His family is transformational.

…Your adversary the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can devour.
(1 Peter 5:8)
